Some segments of your trip aren’t appearing in your Outlook or Gmail calendar? Activate an option in your profile to receive each event in a separate email and ensure perfect synchronization.

Why are some trips not appearing in my calendar?

Some email providers (Outlook, Gmail, etc.) have trouble reading ".ics" files that contain multiple events. Fairjungle confirmation emails sometimes group all segments of your trip into a single attachment.

As a result, some events—especially return segments—may be ignored by your calendar.

🛠️ What solution does Fairjungle offer?


To bypass this issue, you can enable an option in your profile preferences. It allows you to receive one email per event, each containing a separate ".ics" file. This greatly improves compatibility with most calendar tools.

✈️ A concrete example


For a trip including:

  • 🏨 One hotel night → 1 event

  • ✈️ An outbound and return flight → 2 events

  • 🚗 A car rental (pickup and return) → 2 events

➡️ You’ll receive 5 emails, each with a corresponding ".ics" event file.
This helps your email service and calendar correctly recognize and display each part of your trip.

⚠️ Note


Once the events are imported into your calendar, they are no longer dynamically linked to Fairjungle. If your trip changes, your calendar won’t be updated automatically.

⚙️ How do I activate this option?


1. Click your name at the top right of the Fairjungle platform.

2. Go to "Profile" > "Travel Preferences".

3. Enable the option "Send calendar events in separate emails":
